Spicejet To Use Ctc For B737ng Type Training

CTC Aviation Group plc (CTC) has been awarded the contract to provide B737NG type rating training for spiceJet’s rapidly growing pilot workforce.
India’s preferred airline currently has a fleet of 25 B737NG aircraft and a further 45 on order and committed. spiceJet selected CTC’s Rockwell Collins B737NG next generation ‘CORE’ simulation to complete the type rating training for their pilots because of the training organisation’s reputation for delivering a high quality and flexible service.spiceJet’s CEO Neil Mills, formerly of flydubai and easyJet, worked extensively with CTC in his previous roles and selected the company based on his past experiences.
The first 10 pilots commenced their training in December 2010 and January 2011 at CTC’s Boeing and Airbus simulator centre located on the south coast of the UK, within easy reach of Heathrow.CTC Executive Director and Head of Training Captain Mike Redrupp said "..As a company we already have some close ties with India and this agreement, together with the achievement of Indian DGCA approval will serve to reinforce the strong position we hold in the Indian market. …”
CTC
provides a full portfolio of airline training and selection support services.
